Honeymoon : The Introduction

Sebenernya ini udah postingan hampir dua bulan lalu, tapi baru kepikiran buat dituangkan kedalam tulisan baru-baru ini aja karena dikhawatirkan umur semakin lanjut dan kami semakin lupa detail-detail perjalanan bulan madu kami. mumpung masih agak inget.
So lets start waaaaaaay back dari beberapa bulan yang lalu, jauh sebelum kami memutuskan tanggal pernikahan.

fun fact:
1. kenapa kita pilih ostrali?
Via lowcost carrier.
3. Mengapa urutan rutenya begitu?
Dan apparently twas best decision, after rough last day in sydney (but more on that later).

Berikut ini kira-kira itinerary ringkes berdasarkan tiket yang kami pegang:
25 november 2014, 07.00
Jakarta - kuala lumpur

25 november 2014, siang (lupa jam nya)
Kuala lumpur - melbourne

28 november 2014, pagi
Melbourne - sydney

1 december 2014, sore
Sydney - goldcoast

4 december 2014, malem
Goldcoast - sydney

5 december 2014, sore
Sydney - bali

7 december 2014, sore
Bali - jakarta

Fhiuhhhhh. Masih inget rupanya. Gotta jog my memory harder on the next post tho. :s

I dozed off almost a half day. Literally. Bf tried several times to wake me up but i waived.
Lucky we didn't book any trip for today. So i can crawl all day.

On 12am i made a sudden move, stood up, and walked straight to the bathroom, because i didn't wanna waste more of our precious last day on phuket.
Plan is to go to Big Buddha.
The high light of this site is the location which up on the hills and to get there, you have to ride your motorbike steeply uphills.

The big buddha is a site of a huge statue of buddha. Actually it still under construction and expecting the visitor whose mainly a tourists, or buddhist, to contribute in anything they can financially, to finish all the construction work. You can buy souvenirs, or you can buy a plate of ceramics which you can write anything on . The money will be use to contribute on the constructions. The ceramic plate will also be used to cover the wall of Big Buddha. Mostly, couples buy a plate and write their names on hope their relationship will be forever stated on Big Buddha, means, their relationship will be forever as well. Well, we didn't buy any, so do not expect to see our names later on the wall.

After Big Buddha, we rushed to pathong to catch the sun. And we managed to absorb a little of phuket's sun to take home tomorrow. Unfortunately, when the sun were setting, a huge cloud covered the sun. So we missed the sunset. But thats okay, because the night was finally falling. And it was saturday night. I didn't want another hang-over morning, so i planned to just enjoy the night with drinks and musics. bf approved.

After strolling beach road and bang la, we went to some weird clubs just to feed our curiosity. But after stumbled upon a strip club, we decided to take a couple shots of teq, which 6 shots for 100 THB. We went to Koh Bamboo again to enjoy some reggaes. Lucky that in this bar some customers rang the bells which mean a treat of shot for every guest. Twice.

But after i finished the last drop of my drinks, i stood up and asked my bf to take me back to our hotel because i can't handle it anymore. I didn't know why, but i was not feeling good. Felt all chilly, and cold sweat started to drop. I even asked to stop before reached our motorbike, and sat on the side of the road. Bf panicked.
But unlike last night, i was fully aware of what i felt and did.

Result is: i still didn't know what is my limit upon this alcohol
Yes, sire. i'm that pathetic.

But i'm proud. ;)

Encoutered the same problem of visiting and writing on this blog, but I fight my procastinatorism and try to finish my Phuket journey. So.. please enjoy my day three.

September 20, 2013

I barely remember what happened last night. But I woke up early and did walk against gravity to the bathroom preparing for our tour to phi-phi island that we planned and booked yesterday. Yippie.

Supposed to be picked on 8 am, but we have to waited until 9 am. Apparently, the bus driver were already downstairs, but he (or some one on receiption) our room but failed to tell us in proper English that the bus was waiting. So miscommunication happened, and we awkwardly enter the bus full of angry caucasians.

After picking up another tourists, we went to the pier. Welcomed by a local tour guide, we have to waited for another school of tourists before we enter the boat. After awhile, we went to our boat. And boom goes the boat.

The boat ride was not a lovely ride. Some tourists barfed. Some tried to sleep. I kept looking to the horizon to keep my inside. Luckily it worked.

I don’t need to explain the tour, because I can’t remember the name, and I was to focused by the beauty of it. You can google it if really want.

After the tour finished and back to hotel, no time to bed. we took a bath and got ready for night life. The plan was to bar hopping all night. I know it was not my scene but there’s Phuket and Bang La for a reason. And that night, the reason was to get me wasted (somehow I need to know my limit with those shooter, and let loose).

We went to some bar with live music. First we went to Red Hot bar, where the band was really attractive and sang a nice collection of musics. Totally recommended. But if you’re more into reggae music like my bf -which starting to get into me- you’re going to love Koh Bamboo Bar right in front of Red Hot bar. I, myself really had a nice time in this bar, I almost asked my bf to take me to Equal Park (his regular reggae bar in Jaksa – Jakarta).
He must be a proud bf if I finally says it.

The bar hopping route was: Red Hot – Koh Bamboo – Holywood – some other clubs I didn’t give a damn whats the name – Tai Pan

The result was I slept like a baby.
No. I slept dead. like real dead.

September 19, 2013

Woke up pretty early considering tucked in so late last night. We walked straight to the beach but managed to rent a motor bike on our way. Rent a bike is the cheapest way to take, 200 TBH for 24 hours. but we need to give our passport or 4000 TBH as a collateral. we gave our 4000 TBH, because we were to scare of the idea not holding our passport with us, plus its good that we can keep our 4000 TBH somewhere for later, considering how we spends our bucks.

So off we go!
first stop: a decent breakfast. Initially, we wanted something that screams thailand, but as the hunger growls, anything just good enough. so, we had breakfast on this pretty little restaurant. I actually can't remember the name of the restaurant but the food was average-ish. so the hell with names.

After spoil our tummy, we off to beach named pathong beach. rent a cabana for two for 200THB and I stripped off to my orange bikini and soaked up the sun. I was not looking to get colored. I just love to sleep under the sun, with the sound of the sea. It really was an intoxicating experienced. In fact, i hate the wind there which blew cold wind. It confused the sun ray.

next, after the wind has gotten a little colder, we went to other beach named karon, kata, and kata noi. To us, kata noi is the nicest beach among others. less crowd, and no noisy sales girl and boy offering us anything they can offer. i just love kata beach. it has the perfect composition of sun, and wind. the sands is nicer too. (remember how i hate the sands? still has it)

had late lunch in this small restaurant on Karon main street. that serve food with a free really cold water. and the price was just perfect which took 100THB for two. happy tummy happy money. can't tell you the restaurant though, because it is so small, it doesn't have a sign.

back to hotel, to get ready for the night in a infamous bang la road. plan was to get drunk at a bar and enter a club. and we were. after bottles and cocktail, we had an arguement, that made us drove back to hotel in silent, but managed to resolve and back we went to bang la.

8 tequila shots and we went to banana club to get banana.

and of course, i got banana. xx

no work today. on leave till September 20 just for this vacay with roma (bf). Yeay.
the plan was made on early may, so we already lose all the jitters and goosebumpy feeling along the waiting days.
had only excitement now. AAAKKK
but unlike all my previous holiday, i didn't do my research about this destination: Phuket.
spontaneous.

Was not a bumpy flight ride, but 3 hours flight of full fight and debate between me and bf is tiring.
and as soon as we step on thailand territory (well, not quite, since we haven't enter the immigration) we made peace. and kissed.

as soon as we passed the immigration, we were got a welcome gift (at least it was for me) which is free sim card for tourist with a data package, only need to top up which we can do in the nearest convenient store. this is a very wise thing.

For the transportation, instead of taxi, we took a mini bus for 180THB a person straight to our hotel, Renoir boutique hotel. the driver didn't say anything, not even asked for our hotel. we just waved our tickets and step on to the mini bus.
we sit tightly in a back corner with other people luggages. because that is the only two-seater left.

We made a stop first at the travel agent and this local asked for our hotel, and offered us some of the tour they have. after that, the driver drove us to our hotel. it was late at night and our hotel not anywhere near the center of nightlife in pathong, so it was rather spooky, and it is thailand, so it is not your fault your imagination getting a little wilder (in a scary way).

Our hotel the Renoir Boutique Hotel was nice. considering we gambled our luck on agoda, this hotel is not as we expected it would be. Yeah outside was not really convincing, but the room is comfy and all parquet, with a big flat tv and huge queen sized bed. so, all is well. totally gonna put a good recommendation about the hotel on some travel websites!

this first night, we took a stroll to the beach (after had a (frozen) food from 7-eleven). local beers and a bucket of margarita from VW bar on the beach are highlights of this evening.
tuk-tuk took us back to our hotel for 200THB (expensive)
i dozed off with smile. zz

Christmas

Some people might says that Christmas is a product if capitalism. And people who celebrates it are joining in a big commercialism of Christianity to support the advance growth of capitalism.
And I have to agree with those prior statements. heavyheartedly. Christmas now is more related to Santa Claus, gifts, Christmas tree, and the Party, then to the Christ's born itself. Not mean to be a judge-y, but somehow its kinda sad. Not wrong, but sad. Christmas is suppose to be celebrate with a joy and laughter, and trust me, I know maybe capitalism may support the joy and the laughter, but dont sacrifice your faith into a loop that drag you away from the true meaning of Christmas.

And, for similar reason, I am a picky when it comes to Christmas song, for some carols are just picturing a consumerism-unspirited Christmas. hence: Santa Baby, ekkkk. truth be told that I love every christmas song, but for me not every song is Christmas-related and suitable for celebrating the season. Thats why, my playlist for Christmas is quite a few.

So, in my very humble opinion, don't lose yourself in Christmass' euphoria. And let me say:

Merry Christmas
Have yourself a merry little Christmas and be thankful

Leave those behind (for a sec)

Hi pals. I've been awol for this past few weeks, i know. But i had my reason. i guess. :) last weekend, i had quite a blast with my siblings. We went to an island called: Pulau bidadari (angels' island). Actually this trip wasn't really a picnic-on-the-park kinda trip, it was supposed to be another pre-wedding photoshoot. But me, my sister and my brother tagged along with the couple and spent a little weekend on the beach. Hahaha it was a refreshment :)

And this weekend, well, i'm nicely tucked in my sister's room at my house in sweet sweet jambi. It is also a refreshment since i can escape from busy jakarta and all the renovation (and wedding preparation) things. See you next week my construction workers, i'll examine your job real soon. Be good!!

I havent told you why i'm in jambi yet. Yep, my sister has this traditional engagement party called martumpol, that suppose to be held tomorrow morning. Tomorrow morning? Well i have to call it a nite then. Better sleep early to reduce rhis puffy eye if i want to be all out tomorrow rite;)

all that stuff

Hello there.
I currently wooshing from one place to another. busy busy busy.
On last weekend, i want to Pontianak to attend my bestfriend wedding reception. It was only a 3 days 2 nights trip, but it was very much exhausting because my schedule was pretty packed with meeting and had a reunion with my high school bff and peer. Also, my parents asked me to make a visit to some relatives and to check our old house and some of our assets. twas not enough days!

I barely had enough amount of sleep there in Pontianak, but just after I stepped my toes on Jakarta, my parents dragged me to come with them to do some wedding thingies like fitting, looking for the fine and recommended photographer and decoration for the reception. Plus to made it worse, I am the one in charge with my house renovation here in Jakarta. So in the same day after i arrived in jakarta, i have to control the workers work.

Trully. I'm trully a newbie in those both area., especially the renovation thingies. I have to force my brain real hard to keep up with the workers and with all the new vocabulary. Not my cup of tea. but I'm trying my best. All days my body and mind occupied with them, but at least i killing the time with a good reason.

ps. i lost interest in shopping. whats wrong with me? malls  and the smell of stores can't pump my adrenaline like it used to.. i need to check this one out.

Syd - Friends

Hello! Its kinda hard these day to find mood and time to write a good post.. It took a giant power to force me to type these post, not that i dont want to, but i cant find and link nice words for you to read. But after contemplating, type, and a lot of delete, i decide to write and finish it.

well, I'm not on my very best mood these past couple days, maybe because i'm still in holiday phase, but surrounded by a busy people and unsupportive weather. I'm all tired.. I'm still shadowed by the thought of holiday and my friends there. I officially declare that two weeks wasn't enough. I fond out that it took one week to get used to everything and the rest will be a nice ride, and one week will never be enough. Maybe it will be fine if its like three or four weeks more. I STILL WANNA BE THERE!

I just met new nice peoples and now i had to go home, thats unfair.

i couldnt finish this post with words, so i wish these few picture can explain.. i miss them and want to have more bond with them.

Syd - School

On the GA713, on my way back to Indonesia. After spent my lovely two weeks holiday in Sydney Australia. Like i told you in my last post, i had a great time here in Sydney. it was too great I'm a bit scared to come back home and face the reality. But God knows i have to. Its not just because my parent's money i spent, its more than that. To be a better person. To build a better personality.

Oh okay I'm a bit too dramaqueen up there.. Hormones.

I was initially wanna sum up my whole experienced in one post, but i think it wont fit. So i will brake them in a part or two or maybe more *wink.

1. The school.
Yes i have to tell you about the school first because that is one of the main reason i went to sydney. To learn a better English. So i went there with EF course. Basically, just like any other Language course, you go there, have a lesson and go home. On the first day of a school, i had an orientation, tour around sydney and such. I actually dont really know what to tell you about the school, but all i know is I starting to love it just when i have to leave. Dang.

I love all my classes. My grammar class with the killer Robert, my general English class with very nice and handsome Kilian, and also communication class with Kilian, and one class with Michele which i attended just once hihi. The point is almost every week i spent with Kilian class i like him, thats kept me going for my days in syd. :p

Almost all the class i spent with the same classmates, that makes me find it easy to love my classmates, like Sayaka, ai, Toshi, and Yu from Japan, Kuai from Taiwan, Madelaine from Sweden, Nathalie from Spain, Olga from Russia, and 4 French peoples (2 boys and 2 girls) i dont even know their names because they were like always together and i never talk together but i love them too because they seems so cool and pretty.

me and the teacher, Mr. Kilian David

Me and my classmate

Mddelaine, me, Ai, and Yu
Too bad two french guy and Nathalie werent in the pictures.

On the first week, i always went home alone because i didnt have any friends yet. I was like go somewhere, shop a little and then go home. A bit too pathetic I know. But on my last weeks, after i met a new friends, my schedulle were pretty packed. I always went somewhere with my friends. It was so lovely..

The only thing i regret is for not come to bbq party on coogee beach on my first week on saturday. Thats it. I trully regret it, up until this post is posted. :"( i didnt join any school's activity like sky dive, blue mountain tour etc. if only i join one, maybe i will have more new friends.

Ps. I know its supposed to be an English course, but please forgive me if my English still hasnt improve yet ;)

Hello beaches

Who doesnt like beaches? I mean all sun sea and the white sand? Almost every people love beach, well i myself love beach very much. I love the feeling when i walk in sand, i love catching wave in the sea, or simply just lie on the sand and absorbing all the sun.

Well indonesia is famous for its beaches and the heaven under the sea of indonesia, but i dont wanna lose my chance to go to australian beach and see what it looks like. So, i went to bondi beach and manly beach in sydney australia. and those beaches was absolutely amazing, they have a nice sand and the sea is so clear.. And australian people really taking care of their beach, unlike Indonesia. Indonesia's beaches stay incridible as long as it stay untouched. Otherwise, it become dirty and dirtier.

As much as i like beach, i have a personal hatred with it. i hate their sticky wind, that brings salty haze from the sea to the land. Urgh i loath it. And i also dont like the sand that stick everywhere from top to toe after i go to the beach. Thats super annoying. Sticky sweaty feeling with the sand everywhere. Blah!

But i had a great time in the beach here, despite everything. :)

Ps. I'll add some photo later. I had it on my camera.

Greeting from Sydney

I captured this scene myself with my iphone. love it.
G'day mates!
As you probably now, i'm on a holiday slash course in sydney, australia. Thats why i've been M.I.A for these couple days. But i still manage to read some of blogs i follow and give a little update thru twitter or email if I have a wi fi.

I have a great time here, a little home sick but i'm sure i'll go through it, i only gonna be here for 2 weeks though, and it 1 more week to go. Actually, i never been far from home on my own, because i have sisters and brother, so we always stick together. That's why this kind of experience is a whole new level for me. On my own in a very different city and culture with different stranges people from all around the world, like japan, argentina, russia, france, and a lot more.

But then again, i have a great time here. I met new peoples, make new friends, i learn about other city, i go to new places, and many more. instead of just sitting in front of TV or laptop, like a couch potato, like i used to do during my jobless time.

so thats a  little update i can do, because i sneak an internet during a lab class. guess i'll catch you later with a loads of picture.

Later, Gator.

Eyes to India

When half of the world (or at least almost half of my twitter timeline) crazy about korean, be it the band, serial television, the food, the lifestyle, or even just a cute korean boy (I sometime bending over backward over those fenomenal too), but i find myself still head over heels with India.

I my self didnt know why i like almost everything about India so much. I just knew i was always captivated by it. I love their movie (subtitle acquired), and i dont give a damn about people tell me about the crappy mass-dance move. I just adore it. Also, i never mind the high pitched song they're singing. Oh You may call me stupid and naive that easily believe this, but i think, almost every Indian is handsome and gorgeous. (yeah call me a victim of bollywood production. Of course they hired the pretty one, i know). Here i put a numbers about my little india crush:

1. Bollywood vs. Hollywood
As we all know, India has this major production thingy that makes movie or tv series or an entire entertainment production. And it is not just some lame hollywood poser, it is big nowadays, and their products can be seen on well known international film festival. Besides, some also became the bomb in every country, and winning the most prestigious academy award. Not just one, but EIGHT, Slumdog Millionairre. See, i told you, Hollywood should watch their back, something gonna get 'em.

Beside this wellknown movie, there are a bunch of other movie product that i myself love so much.

3 idiots is a movie about 3 bestfriend who struggle through collage life. It is a story about love, friendship, sacrifice, vision, and passion. Highly recomended

I just watched this movie, pretty much avarage-ish, but i love it. Why? Because this movie shows me about the high social life in delhi.. The actor and actress is very gorgeous. And their outfit is so inspiring.

with all that drama in India Movie, i find it interesting.

2. The Food
I'm not really adventurous when it comes to food tasting. I like it simple. But Indian food had a special place in my mouth and also in my heart. I told you about Indian food map right? all that spicy curry, and naan bread, Macher Jhol (Literally translated to Fish in Gravy), masala tea, etc etc. The smell may be sting, but the taste might be heavenly.

3. The City
I will come up with this later because i never been there. But soomeday I will. First, I wanna check out Delhi (first picture)
From top clockwise: Lotus Temple, Humayun's Tomb, Connaught Place, Akshardham Temple, and India Gate.
Clockwise from top: Skyline at Cuffe Parade, the Rajabai Clock Tower, the Taj Mahal Hotel, Nariman Point and Gateway of India
And secondly, of course I'm gonna go to the the most metropolitan city in India, and the second most populous city in the world: Mumbaii (Like the second picture above). ain't it pretty???

What do you think of India?

Trick o Treat

hallo peeps.

its 12.45 PM here now in Indonesia based on my macbook’s clock, at exactly October 31st 2010. Know whats that mean? It’s an afternoon of the famous Halloween day.
I’m not a big fan of Halloween, in fact I hate it. Several reason why I hate it:
1.     A sudden bumped to a scary ghost girl on a mall (wth?!), and even my friend twit that he met a corpse on other mall.
2.     The decoration is all scary, dark and tend to dusty with spider web, and scary chandelier. And don’t you ever the blood bath. (classic)
3.     Every ad during this season is a horror. So I have to ready to switch the channel
4.     There’s no my comedy romantic kinda show on TV. (hence the ghost whisperer marathon)
5.     Even when I surf trhu sites, I always see the halloween terror. Arghh.

I gotta ask though, why people associate this holiday to something this scary? Why don’t let this one be more festive, with a cute pumpkin, and colors. Thus people can be more creative with the costume.  Forget the  old, scary nurse, or headless dutch, or vampire, or other scary creatures. Why don’t celebrate it with something more cute or sexy, even out of box.

Here is some blogger I follow, whom I think have a Halloween concepts that didn’t scare the crap out of me. just take a minute to look:

or why dont u check this out:
from here
see what i mean?!
i bet you'll get more candy with this cute outfit. :D
happy trick-or-treat-ing for those of you who celebrate halloween. (and those of you who just want a party real hard)

low light. loud music. smokes.

No, I'm not in some kind of cheap bar. at least in a cheap bar i could get some nice cold drink. I'm in Jambi now, and I'm not writing for my ipad. I'm in this friggin Internet Rental. it is a small dark room that has a 3 or 4 row of PC aligned and 4 cubicles for anyone need privacy, so people could come and browsing or surfing. its just so scary here. like the title, you'll be welcomed with smokey smell and loud music. and in the corner of the room you could see a bunch of boys playing RPG or other stuffs (suspiciously porn. ewww). you must be questioning why on earth i end up at this place. Its simple tho. because i need and internet, computer, and printer to print my sis id card and her photo id. Its because they told me this jambi trip is gonna be a short trip so i left my pinkmac there in jakarta urggghhhhh.

So yeah here i am. And while i'm waiting for the internet buffers, i just want to share to you guys that the big ceremony and receiption for my sister wedding is officially done. It was held yesterday weekend on october 8th and 9th, 2010. Its tiring but still who cant resist the wedding euphoria, especially for us girls. I just wanna get married.. Haha. About that i'm gonna post some pict later.

Before i come to this internet rental, i went to "tina mitra". It is a small shop that sells a snakeskins-ware, like a bag, shoes, wallet, belt etc etc. I'm quite proud with this brand, because it bring this town name to national and international market. And to prove my proudness, I had 2 tina mitra bags, and i love them so much. So, on the past jambi trip, i went there and order tina's shoes, made specially for my big wide foot.(42 in indonesia size, 10 in USA, 9 in Europe). And my order has finished so i stop by to pick it up. Here is the picture:

What do you think? Its a hand-made-snake-skin-nude-color-peep-toe wedges hhfiiuhh what a name! Its quite simple though, but so comfy. and I'm still looking for a tory burch flats.. Where do i suppose to look? Esp. With my particular size kyaaaaa.
